Is the stiffness order of Yonex racquets: 1) Stiff, 2) Medium and 3) Extra Stiff; or is 1) Medium, 2) Stiff and 3) Extra Stiff?

so basically,

more stiff -> more control -> more power needed
more flex -> less control -> less power needed

i think i will try some medium flex rackets, maybe i get more power out of it.

i had the yonex armortec 900 P and it was indeed to stiff for me. i had shoulder problems. now i'm using armortec 900 T, which is still a stiff racket, but no shoulder pain. i'll try the voltric 70.

still searching for perfect stringing for me though. any ideas?

thanks

Hi Vming

Unfortunately the only way to find out is to pick up the racket and play with it.

Good article... I really appreciate.

My concern now is there are so many racket manufacturers who have their own stiffness standard like stiff, extra stiff, flex, medium flex, etc. and sometimes they categorized differently.

Bottom line, my question is there any standard stiffness racket shaft that can be used as reference by players in case they want to use a new racket form certain brand to other brands...

Thanks,
